The Company, Watson Way Education, LLC, hereto referred to as “Watson Way” throughout legal statements. The student, parent/guardian, or educator is hereto referred to as “Client.”
General Statements
Watson Way provides:
Student tutoring and mentorship
Parent/guardian coaching
Educator consultation
All services are educational and guidance-based in nature.
The Client acknowledges:
Services are not therapy, counseling, psychological treatment, or medical care. Services are not a substitute for licensed professionals
Watson Way does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, nor provide crisis intervention or emergency services
In case of crisis, they will contact a licensed mental health professional and/or local emergency services
When appropriate, clients are encouraged to seek licensed mental health or medical providers. The Client acknowledges that specific behavioral or academic outcomes are not guaranteed, as progress depends on multiple external factors
Watson Way Responsibilities
Watson Way will take reasonable precautions to avoid technical issues, interruptions, or unauthorized access. When beyond its control, it is not responsible for technical issues, interruptions, or unauthorized access.
All statements of fees, payment terms are upheld as stated on signed contracts.
Watson Way reserves the right to amend these elements, accompanied by written notification to the client.
Cancellation Policy: Clients may cancel services with written notice, no less than 24 hours before the start of the scheduled session. Canceled services within 24 hours of the scheduled session are subject to partial or full payment of services, at the discretion of Watson Way.
Late/Missed Session Policy: Late/Missed sessions with no client communication by the originally scheduled ending time are subject to terms of the cancellation policy. With written notification, late/missed sessions may be rescheduled, at the discretion of Watson Way.
Watson Way reserves the right to discontinue services if behavior becomes unsafe, offensive, or inappropriate. Services may also be terminated if there is non-payment or services are no longer a good fit.
Client Responsibilities
The parent/guardian:
Consents to the student’s participation
Confirms legal authority to make decisions for the student, under resident state law
Acknowledges access to relevant information about services
Clients are responsible for maintaining a private and secure environment. They may terminate services with written notice per the cancellation policy.
Clients retain full responsibility for decisions made based on services. This includes any implementation of recommendations.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Watson Way from any claims
arising from their:
Participation in services
Misuse of guidance or recommendations
Violation of this Agreement
FERPA/HIPAA-Aligned Data Privacy Notice
Watson Way is committed to protecting the privacy of students, families, educators, and school partners.
Watson Way may collect and store personal information only for business and service purposes. Information will not be sold to third parties and only shared when legally required. This information may include:
Name, age, and background
Behavior and educational specifics
Contact information
Session data (e.g. notes, observations, recordings)
This information is only used to individualize services, communicate with clients, or improve service quality. Watson Way will securely store all data to protect personal information and limit access to authorized personnel. Information is retained only as necessary for service delivery or legal and business purposes.
Watson Way will make consistent and reasonable efforts to maintain confidentiality.
Confidentiality may be broken if:
There is suspected abuse or neglect
There is risk of harm to the student or others
Disclosure is required by law
If these conditions are present, information may be shared with parents/guardians (of the student client) or authorized school personnel, when necessary for the student’s well-being. The Client understands that Watson Way staff may be mandated reporters and are legally required to report suspected abuse, neglect, or threats of harm to appropriate authorities. Participation does not establish relationships, such as therapist-client, doctor-patient, or attorney-client.
Parents/guardians may request access to their child’s information, request corrections, and withdraw consent (subject to contractual obligations).
Watson Way does not provide medical or clinical services, and is not a covered entity under HIPAA in most cases. Any health-related information shared voluntarily is treated with strict confidentiality.
Governing Law
Watson Way services are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, regardless of the
Client’s location. Venue for any dispute shall lie in Tarrant County, Texas.
Services are offered nationwide; however, availability may be limited or modified
based on applicable state laws and regulations. Clients are responsible for ensuring
that participation is permitted in their state. The Client agrees to provide accurate information regarding their state of residence and location during services, and to notify Watson Way of any changes. Watson Way reserves the right to decline or terminate services in any jurisdiction
where such services may be restricted or regulated.
